Park Ranger, GS-0025-05 (DEU)(FR)

Serves as a Park Ranger assigned a range of duties in the functions of resource management, visitor services, and interpretation and education. -Assists higher graded Park Rangers and other staff with special projects based on education, skill, program needs and interests. Projects include, but are not limited to, development of environmental education programs, interpretive programs, visitor center displays, recreation plans, recreation site designs, trail planning, rehabilitation and construction, environmental document preparation, natural resource management and protection, and assistance with concessions issues or projects. -Serves as a contact for visitors to resource recreation areas, advising visitors of recreation rules and regulations. -Conducts regular, frequent patrols of recreation areas by vehicle, boat, bicycle or on foot to ensure public safety and to monitor visitor compliance and resource impacts. -Staffs and maintains the Lake Berryessa Visitor Center and Oak Shores Entrance Station. -Performs light maintenance duties such as litter and trash collection, trail maintenance, rehabilitation and construction, tree planting, and day use and recreation area maintenance. -Administers first aid and other emergency assistance based on certification level and as deemed appropriate-Researches, develops, and presents a variety of formal and informal interpretive programs. Minimum Education Requirement:
Applicants must meet the qualification requirements listed below:
A. A four year course study above high school leading to a bachelor's degree with 24 semester hours of related course work with a major of study in natural resource management, natural sciences, earth sciences, history, archeology, anthropology, park and recreation management, law enforcement/police science, social sciences, museum sciences, business administration, public administration, behavioral sciences, sociology, or other closely related subjects pertinent to the management and protection of natural and cultural resources.ORB. One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-04 level in Federal service.Foreign Education:
To receive credit for education completed outside the United States, applicants must show proof that the education has been submitted to a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign educational credentials and such education has been deemed at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education programs.Definition of Specialized

To meet specialized experience, your resume must describe experience that demonstrates the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities as follows:
GS-05:
Experience performing technical, administrative, or scientific work, fish and wildlife management, recreation management, or other park-related work. Experience that only includes law enforcement activities will not be considered qualifying as specialized experience. Examples include park guide or tour leader work; archeological or historical preservation research work; forestry and /or fire management work in a park, recreation or conservation area; management, assistant, or program specialist work involving the development and implementation of policy related to protection, conservation, or management of park areas or similar operations. These examples are not all inclusive.Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
