Summary: This position provides direct patientcare in the ambulatory setting and reports to the Chief of Staff and Medical OfficeAdministrator at the medical office site where services are provided.

EssentialFunctions:
Provideshealth assessment, diagnosis and treatment in the ambulatory care setting.
Selectsmedications appropriately and in accordance with pharmacy formulary.
Actsin the best interest of the patient by providing information to make informeddecisions in their care.
Completespatient encounter forms daily with appropriate diagnosis and treatment codes. Submits patient charges daily.
Understandsthe unique needs of the adult and/or pediatric patient in providing care in theambulatory setting.
Demonstratesappropriate clinical judgement in providing care by consulting/referring to thesupervising physician, as needed.
Demonstratesthe skills necessary to accurately code patient visits appropriately.
Consistentlydemonstrates appropriate and thorough documentation in the medical record forcare provided and recommended.
Maintainsand/or is available to meet productivity standard for number of patients seenin a timely manner.
Demonstratescompetency in required clinical procedures.

MinimumPosition
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner training program.
Experience: Requires two (2)plus years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
License / Certification:
Current RN license
Boardof Registered Nursing Certification of Nurse Practitioners
Boardof Registered Nurses Certification Furnishing Number

CurrentBLS certificate
Computer Skills: Basic computerskills in a Windows operating environment including Microsoft Word, Excel andan e-mail system.

Qualifications:
Computer Skills: Proficient inMicrosoft Office Suite applications.
Other: BilingualEnglish/Spanish communication skills a plus.
EnvironmentalConditions: Mayinclude exposure to potentially hazardous material, infectious agents, contactwith patients, public and staff.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
