Channel Sales Manager (Electronic Components)

Our client, a major provider of electronic product solutions for the Automotive and Telecom industries is currently seeking a Channel Sales Manager with a strong background in electronic and wireless telecommunication components. Position responsibilities include the management of the outside and inside sales interface between designated customer accounts, sales channel/partners and selected suppliers to effectively achieve market share and sales / profitability targets. Additionally, this role will provide sales development and product technical knowledge to assist client's customers and external sales channel/partners in product selection. SF bay area candidates preferred. Telecommute option (60%) is available for this opportunity along with a highly flexible schedule after successful completion of 6 month on-the-job training program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Acts as the focal point for major customer accounts within assigned territory.
Prospects for new business opportunities and upgrading existing customers.
Coordinates the sale of products and services by calling on and maintaining relationships with established and prospective commercial accounts and sales channel partners within assigned territory.
Maintains a close liaison and coordinates with clients, management and service personnel regarding customer problems.
Able to effectively use resources, technical and other knowledge to creatively solve problems and to manage customer expectations.
Excellent rapport building, communications and interpersonal skills, and an ability to enthuse and excite customers with product line and services.
Responsible for meeting established sales quota.
Monitors competitive activity and trends within the territory.
Prepares accurate, legible and timely reports as required by management.

Bachelor's degree in Business administration, Telecommunications or Component Electronics, preferred
Must be a self-starter and with minimum 3 years prior customer relationship management experience within the electronics component industry.
Customer focused with a proven track record of developing client relationships within assigned territories in an outside; regional, national or international sales management role.
Demonstrated proficiency with sales, service, and administrative functions.
Excellent verbal/written English language/communications skills
Ability to travel up to 60% both within the USA and internationally.
A valid active driver's license, background check is required
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in the knowledge and/or sale of telecom and industrial controls to major OEM's, ODM's and/or component distributors specifically with any of the following:
Industrial & Signal Relays
Gas Discharge Tubes
Spark Gap Protectors
TVS Diodes
Semi-discrete semiconductors
Metallized Film Capacitors

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
