PROJECT ENGINEER - DIRECT HIRE! General Position
Summary:
Perform new product design and development.
Manage or participate as team member, to drive projects from inception through production release.
Essential Functions/Duties/Major Responsibilities Under direction of R&D manager:
o Design and develop new products to specification.
o Apply engineering principles to create robust and manufactural designs.
o Document product designs (specs, calcs, test plans, reports, drawings, BOMs, etc.
).
o Supervise or perform prototype tests.
o Work with others to develop instructions, training, tools, and fixtures.
o Provide technical support to Sales and others.
o Resolve production issues, improve existing products, and other duties as assigned.
Must become familiar with company's procedures and instructions:
Non-conformance Control Procedure (QAP100) Document Control Procedures (QAP105) Corrective and Preventive Action Procedure (QAP106) Enhancing Engineering Procedure (EDP100) Design & Development Procedure (EDP200) Design Verification Procedure (EDP300) Design Document Control Procedure (EDP400) Change Control Procedure (CCP100) Cleanroom Protocol (CRP100) Enhancing Engineering Procedure (ECP100) Customer Service Procedure (EDP500) Engineering Doc Change Procedure (EDP600) Production Inventory Control Procedure (PCP100) Sales Procedure (SDP-100) Standard Engineering Instructions (EDI 100) Engineering Material Standard (EDI 200) Certificate of Conformance (EDI 500) Supervisory Responsibility:
No direct responsibility, but may direct the efforts of technicians and others during execution of project duties.
Interpersonal Contacts:
Frequent contact with managers, production department supervisors, and engineering department staff.
Occasional contact with Sales department staff.
Specific Job Skills:
o Must be thoroughly versed in machine design principals.
Must perform all tasks in a professional manner and with a spirit of cooperation.
o Must work in a team environment as leader and/or contributor.
Must be computer literate and work independently with limited supervision.
o Education and/or
Experience:
Requires B.
S.
Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
o Minimum of five years related experience in fluid component design or component usage in process control or semiconductor industry.
o Will receive on-the-job training for some essential functions and job skills.
