Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Housekeeping Manager to oversee our housekeeping operations.
The Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our facility, supervising a team of housekeeping staff, and managing all aspects of housekeeping operations.
This is a leadership role within the hospitality industry, specifically in hotel housekeeping management.
Duties:
- Manage and supervise a team of housekeeping staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations - Develop and implement housekeeping procedures and protocols to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene - Ensure that all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas are clean, well-maintained, and presentable - Oversee the inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies and equipment - Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient operations and guest satisfaction - Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards - Address guest complaints or concerns regarding housekeeping services promptly and effectively - Collaborate with maintenance staff to address any repairs or maintenance issues - Monitor and manage departmental budgets Skills:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team - Knowledge of commercial cleaning practices and techniques - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills - Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Proficient in using housekeeping management software or systems - Understanding of health and safety regulations related to housekeeping operations Requirements:
- Previous experience in housekeeping management within the hospitality industry is preferred - Knowledge of laundry operations is an asset - Proven experience in supervising a team of housekeeping staff - Familiarity with hotel operations and standards - High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in hospitality management is a plus We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
