This is an allergy specialty practice with offices in Napa and Sonoma.
Flexibility is essential, as we often work into the early evening.
Applicants must have great interpersonal skills, as well great customer service.
Medical Assistant is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.
Looking for a Medical Assistant who is an effective team member, flexible, cooperative, and willing to assist others.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Administers subcutaneous allergy shots, IM medications, and nebulized medicines.
Allergy skin testing Performing spirometry Cleaning /stocking rooms between patients Pharmacy refills and prior authorization Stocking/ordering medical supplies.
Scheduling appointments Rooming patients Verifying insurance benefits Strong assessment and interpersonal skills Ability to work with other members of the health care team Excellent organizational skills Requires computer skills to learn electronic health record Ability to work effectively with frequent interruptions Performs spirometry as directed by the physician Triages patient phone calls and collects accurate data to present to the physician Refills prescriptions per physician direction Educates patients as to their diagnosis and treatment as directed by the physician Travel to either office location per staffing needs.
