The City of Napa is seeking a creative, collaborative, and detail oriented, administrative professional to fill an opening in our Public Works Department's Administration Division.
The position serves as the direct secretarial support to the Public Works Director while also working on a department-wide administrative team to support department management, projects, and programs.
You will be asked to perform a wide variety of advanced secretarial and administrative support such as department personnel administration, contracts review and routing, Public Records Act Request, Citywide and department policy review and implementation, review and preparation of reports, meeting agendas and minutes.
The Administrative Secretary also provides support to the City's Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission, reviewing agenda items, assembling and distributing agendas, preparing meeting minutes and assisting with correspondence to Commissioners.
We are looking for a team player with strong communication and collaboration skills who excels at administrative support for executives.
We are also looking for someone who can work with a wide variety of customers within the community and across City departments.

This recruitment and examination is being conducted to fill one (1) full-time vacancy and may be used to fill future similar full-time vacancies as they occur during the active status of the employment list.
The active status of this employment list will be at least six (6) months unless abolished sooner or extended beyond that date in accordance with the Civil Service Rules.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
