Redwood Credit Union is looking for a passionate Financial Wellness Specialist who will be responsible for enhancing RCU's position as a trusted financial community partner and resource through the development and execution of RCU's financial literacy and wellness programs.
The position includes collaborating with many school, government and non- profit leaders in the community.
As a Financial Wellness Specialist you will be responsible for a variety of tasks:
Team Member/Member Programs Develop and implement programs to improve the financial wellness of staff in order to both improve their lives as well as create a solid foundation for them to help our Members.
Develop new tools, scripts, processes, etc.
, that enable staff to easily and efficiently work with Members on plans that will improve their overall financial wellness.
Develop methods to integrate financial wellness concepts into RCU training programs.
Maintain, revise and develop existing curriculum and exercises on an ongoing basis to enhance the learning experience on a wide range of financial wellness topics.
Coordinate with other departments to determine topics and presenters to facilitate Member educational seminars.
Youth/non-Profit Programs Work with local schools to facilitate and/or implement financial literacy components into school curriculum.
Develop and maintain relationships with community schools, nonprofits, and other partners to deliver financial literacy.
Design, develop and deliver presentations, seminars and webinars on a wide range of financial wellness topics.
Moderate reality fair simulations such as the Bite of Reality sessions.
Programs Management Research current and developing programs/trends in the field of financial literacy and wellness for potential use at RCU.
Track and report on all financial literacy efforts including location, number of participants, topic, and type of audience.
Facilitate employee understanding of RCU's financial literacy efforts.
Coordinate with Communications for press releases and social media items.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Knowledge of basic and intermediate financial skills.
Knowledge of training fundamentals including material development, practical exercises, presentation methods, evaluation techniques, scheduling, and coordination.
Knowledge of financial institution (particularly credit union) practices, products and services and how they relate to financial literacy and wellness.
Skill in presenting to a wide range of audiences.
Skill in PC operations including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet/intranet applications.
Education:
A combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree or completion of a specialized course of study and at least three to five (3-5) years of related experience.
Compensation:
Base salary starting range:
$36.
00 to $48.
00 hourly commensurate with experience.
Our base salary starting range is based on scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and internal peer equity.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
