The Legal Secretary I/II performs administrative secretarial, and clerical work for a judge, attorney, or department head and to perform legal processing tasks.
In this position you will assist in the preparation and maintenance of calendars and schedules, perform routine or moderately complex legal processing tasks in assigned area of law.
You will also prepare affidavits, complaints, warrants, judicial orders, abstracts of judgments, subpoenas, and other documents.
The ideal candidate for this position is a self-starter, has the ability to work independently, strong personal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
This recruitment is being conducted to fill one full-time vacancy which may be filled as a Legal Secretary I or Legal Secretary II level depending on qualifications in the District Attorney's Office.
The list established by this recruitment may also be used to fill future full-time, part-time, limited term, and extra help vacancies for up to one year.
