The Position Napa County Health and Human Services Agency is on a mission to serve its community and support its health and well-being.

Our vales include commitment to our community, collaboration with our community and compassion for our community The Administrative Assistant in Health and Human Services performs a variety of responsible technical and administrative duties in support of the administration unit in the Health and Human Services Department including process and coordinate all departmental time cards, payroll adjustments, master file documents, leave balance calculations and input documents for any payroll changes.
Collect and summarize information; interpret, with direction, Personnel Rules, Memoranda of Understanding, and County Travel Policy for departmental employees.
Compute leave balance requirements on employees for family care leave, pregnancy leave, State disability and miscellaneous leaves with or without pay; coordinate within the department and with Personnel, Payroll, and the County Administrator to ensure that all departmental staff are in correct/appropriate status.
This recruitment is being conducted to fill one full-time vacancy.
The list established from this recruitment may also be used to fill future full-time, part-time, limited term, and extra help vacancies for up to one year.
Position Requirements EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying.
A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills, and abilities would be:
Experience:
Two years of responsible technical or administrative clerical experience, including experience working in personnel administration.
Education:
Equivalent to completion of two years of college with course work in business administration, public administration, or related field.
(Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
) License or Certificate:
Possession of a valid California Driver's License.
Any license, certification, or registration required for this position shall be maintained (i.
e.
active and in good standing) at all times during employment with Napa County.
For continued employment with Napa County, you must maintain such license, certification, or registration to meet the minimum qualifications of this position.
