Summary:
Under the direction of the Senior Quality Assurance Manager, the Cellar Assistant is responsible for shipments, check-ins, accurate inventory, and maintaining the integrity of the warehouse.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Accurately pull wine, paying special attention to label details, bottle conditions and locations Maintain a 99% level of accuracy for all shipments Assist with collection check ins, paying special attention to details such as bottle conditions, vintage, etc.
Participate traveling domestically to check-in/ pick-up off-site collections, meet clients, and ensure integrity of cellars prior to transport/arrival on site Work to meet and/or surpass all Company/collection deadlines Communicate with appropriate managers and co-workers on collection/deadline status daily Assist with commercial check-ins and process purchase orders Maintain a 99% level of accuracy for all check-ins Handle inventory and Company property with care Assist in quarterly physical inventory counts Load and/or unload shipments Maintain the general organization, upkeep and cleanliness of the warehouse Additional duties as deemed relative to employment progression

Education/
Experience:
High School diploma or general education degree required.
Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Two years or more in related experience.
Computer
Experience:
Basic computer skills required.
General excel experience a plus.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed by uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually busy.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, bend, and climb for up to 8 hours a day.
The employee is regularly required to reach and lift with hands and arms.
The employee is frequently required to walk and talk or hear.
The employee must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
