The Infrastructure Engineer II is responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, availability, integrity, and security of the computing and communications systems of the organization by developing, implementing, and managing networked systems and computing practices. The position performs highly complex design, analysis, implementation and management on Data Center systems, devices, and processes. Ensure all aspects of Data Center Operations, system availability and functionality, and network infrastructure are operating effectively and are optimized. Incorporate company culture and business requirements into operational and security policies and procedures. The Infrastructure Engineer II is part of a team responsible for the implementation, maintenance, uptime, and security of the data, communications, and technology infrastructure of the Credit Union. The team ensures mission critical systems are operating securely 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The role can be based in our Napa or Santa Rosa Corporate office. The Job (the big stuff) Data Center Operations and Engineering Design, plan, optimize, and maintain all components of the computer systems and underlining network infrastructure, utilizing networking technologies and effective practices that provide reliability, performance, and innovative services. Measure, manage, analyze, and track the health, capacity, performance, and effectiveness of the Datacenter Server environment, and identify opportunities for growth and improvement. Lead the investigation, selection, implementation, rollout, and maintenance of complex, business-critical software and hardware systems. Ensure effective redundancy, failover, and disaster recovery capabilities of the Server infrastructure environment. Create, maintain, and validate disaster recovery processes for all systems and data center equipment. Investigate new or existing IT technologies and work closely with business units to define security needs and requirements, manage expectations, and resolve issues and questions. Participate actively in change management practices (writing change requests, participating in change meetings, mentoring other staff in good change management). Interface with software and hardware vendors in the development and definition of security, business, and technical processes. Plan and perform hardware and software upgrades to accommodate growth, upkeep, and preventative maintenance of The Redwood Group. Security Identify, define, and document system security requirements. Incorporate security awareness and industry best practices into Data Center Systems. Conduct security investigations using data analysis and forensic techniques. Practice industry security standards regarding communication environment, design, and configuration. Address outstanding security issues through research and implementation of new and existing security tools and platforms. Respond and report security issues involving hardware and software. Planning Develop long-term plan for Data Center Infrastructure operations, based on predicted growth. Research new technologies, draft recommendations and technology plans and requirements for business needs. Develop medium- and long-term roadmaps for the systems and infrastructure of the organization and develop methods of executing and tracking progress against goals and objectives. Mentor IT staff in good security practices, security design principles, documentation, maintaining effective relationships inside and outside the department, and learning goals. Develop and manage vendor relationships. Formulate and ensure adherence to quality assurance standards. Formulate and contribute to effective planning that improves performance and reliability of the RCU network environment. Develop and maintain user guides, network diagrams, procedures, and business continuity information for Information Technology Department. IT Leadership Provide technical and professional mentorship to the Infrastructure team and IT Department. Prepare and present recommendations and updates on projects, support, and future needs planning, both in writing and verbally. Locate and choose new learning opportunities to enhance and further knowledge of Department practices. Recommend vendors and equipment based on research and current documentation. Research new technologies relating to core business functions. Non-Essential Functions Maintain technical proficiencies to support current and planned hardware, software, and network computing needs. Establish and maintain relationships with key contacts in the community including volunteer centers and non-profit organizations. Participate in community events, community volunteer boards & associations. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Thorough understanding of controls (e.g., access control, auditing, authentication, encryption, integrity, physical security, and application security). Well versed in Windows environments, Active Directory, VOIP systems, various authorization and authentication mechanisms/software, network monitoring, and sniffing TCP/IP networks. Ability to provide quality deliverables on time and on budget. Must possess excellent communication skills (written, verbal). Ability to work with technical and non-technical individuals alike. Ability to mentor other employees to improve their skills and effectiveness. Ability to design, resource, conduct, status, and complete projects independently, with minimal supervision. Proven ability to diagnose complex problems and underlying causes, perform analysis, and to identify effective solutions and alternatives. Provide extraordinary service. Ability to distinguish and manage confidential information, materials, and conversations. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a diverse environment. After-hours, holiday, and weekend support is occasionally required. Ability to travel 10% of the time. Licenses and Certifications Ability to maintain valid California driver's license. Avaya, Cisco, VMWare or equivalent Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods of time occasionally. Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist, and turn. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to use a computer keyboard, calculator, and mouse. Work environment is indoors; majority of the time is spent sitting at a desk. Required Experience A combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in computer science or similar and a minimum of 10 years' experience in a networking related role, with a focus in Systems Engineering and Data Center Operations. Technical Data Center/Network certifications highly desirable. Mandatory Vaccination Policy:

Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
Systems Architecture & EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
