In this Senior management level position, the Community Programs Manager is responsible for all operational aspects of Redwood Credit Union's (RCU's) community programs, financial wellness, and the RCU Community Fund. Responsibilities include planning, budgeting, hiring and management of staff, executing quality programs, building and representing RCU's reputation, image and brand in our communities, identifying and cultivating business development opportunities and monitoring and reporting results. The overall focus of this position is to strategically build and maintain an outstanding community and financial wellness program and RCU Community Fund program that positions RCU as a visible, contributing and trusted community partner with strong relationships within each of the communities that RCU serves. Required Skills As the Community Programs Manager within our Community Programs department, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks:
Reporting directly to SVP/Community & Government Relations, recommends strategic partners in all markets, and plans, develops, budgets, implements, manages, monitors and reports on all aspects of RCU's community and financial wellness programs. Responsible for ensuring effective, efficient and successful community and financial wellness programs for RCU, including both senior management and execution of these key strategic programs. Key representation in the community at pivotal events, serves as RCU representative on county boards, community funds and committees, and provides guidance and leadership to RCU grantees on community programs and partnerships. Helps develop annual budgets and plans for all RCU community programs, including financial wellness. Gains input from branch managers and staff in developing these plans and budgets. Collaborates with strategic partners throughout the year to realize these goals and strategically ascertain the value of partnerships and ongoing community relationships. Hires community and financial wellness staff and supervises, motivates, develops and monitors these employees. This includes setting performance goals and expectations, communicating with and developing staff, ensuring a positive, productive work environment and staff morale, training and monitoring progress and conducting all performance and management related functions. Plans, executes and reports on all community and financial wellness programs and events, providing detailed reports on program results and maintaining and/or developing effective reporting tools such as RCU.net, RCU Websites and EventNet. Provides oversight of staff to communicate and enlist team captains, volunteers and others to ensure quality events and engagement by the organization and employees. Facilitates the partnership of several key RCU programs to strongly support the success of these programs through fundraising, marketing, employee engagement and communications. Actively develops strong relationships with nonprofits and community leaders to strengthen RCU's image and community and financial wellness programs and strategically leverage and positively position business/community partners. Ensures excellent and efficient procedures and processes that maximize operational efficiencies while ensuring exceptional results. Prepares and executes presentations to internal and external audiences. Maintains oversight of staff execution of timely updates to RCU's website, intranet and other communication portals regarding RCU's nonprofit community program and efforts. Works with RCU's marketing and public relations/communications staff to ensure excellent media, community engagement and other exposure of RCU's efforts in our communities. Provides presentations and trainings as needed to groups and individuals regarding RCU's community and financial wellness programs. Provides regular program updates, reports and recommendations, etc. Identifies, recommends and implements programs and efforts that enhance RCU's giveback to our communities and maximizes RCU's exposure and awareness. Maintains oversight of staff implementation for all aspects of several key/major event planning including working with vendors, arranging floor plans, executing pre, during and post event activities, etc. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 10
years of executive leadership in nonprofit and community programs on behalf of large scale/multi-faceted organizations. Excellent leadership skills and abilities including ability to hire, performance manage, motivate, develop and support staff. Excellent project and event management skills. Excellent business development/opportunity skills. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to ensure quality control. Ability to prioritize and successfully manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. Exceptional communication skills, including written, oral and presentation skills. Also excellent grasp of English language including grammar and punctuation. Spanish language abilities preferred but not required. Strong ability to collaborate, motivate and direct people, groups, committees, and comprehensive projects and efforts that lead to excellent results. Exceptional ability to establish, build and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of people and groups. Applicable working knowledge of computers, software and technology. Skills in operations of a PC with internet/intranet, operating systems, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation & graphics software, public relations/communications, design, multi-media, video and websites. Strong knowledge and ability to use online tools and resources to accomplish tasks and organize others activities. This includes knowledge and interest in online tracking systems, donation devices, etc. Working knowledge of consumer financial services industry. Ability to analyze situations and recommend solutions. Excellent planning and budgeting skills. Excellent negotiation skills and ability to see big picture and tackle details simultaneously. Required Experience The ideal candidate has:
Bachelor's degree in business management or public administration or related field and 10
years of specific job related experience including nonprofit or community programs, management, event and project management and strategic relationship building.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Program ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
